Feeding Program

Feeding Program

Forgiven has spear-headed feeding outreaches for citizens from Louisiana to Alabama since March 2020. There is NEVER a fee to get high quality food that is both healthy and safe.

In Louisiana (Marrero) Forgiven partners with Second Harvest Food Bank. Every third Saturday we feed more than three thousand citizens from all walks of life. Hunger does not discriminate. The wonderful volunteers show up monthly, despite the weather, to serve citizens with care and respect.

In Alabama (Clayton) Forgiven partners with the East Alabama Food Bank to provide food to more than 2500 individuals (approximately 310 families) each month. This is a very rural area with vastly limited resources. Every month, Forgiven shows up to provide good, quality food at no cost to many deserving citizens who, through no fault of their own, are facing serious food shortages.  We have been able to pay for our portion of the food from the food bank without placing the burden on the citizens.

As long as there is a need, Forgiven will try to be there.

Since the town is located in a remote area, Forgiven is making plans to prepare “Meals on Wheels” to deliver food in “hard hit” areas.  We define hard hit areas as those areas with no transportation services and no local, accessible food markets.
